Daejeon Expo Plaza was established by transforming the Expo Mammun Plaza. It is a new type of cultural complex where people can enjoy culture, sports, leisure, and sightseeing at the same time, as it consists of an outdoor stage, public plaza, and the Expo Bridge. The moving Shelter was patented on June 21, 2010, as Korea's first moving public plaza structure, the design of which was selected through an architectural design competition in April 2009. The main facilities include a cafeteria, bicycle rental shop, exhibition halls, outdoor fountain, outdoor stage and plaza, and Expo Bridge landscape lighting and music fountain, and visitors can enjoy various sports on the sports track.
